TSO |
TSO have been a Mouse client since 2001 for bespoke applications.
In the Past Statutory Instruments passed by Parliament would be produced in a word processor and sent to TSO for printing. The press would the reset the document in a typesetter application like QUARK. The document would then be sent to the user for proofing. If there was an error, the press would need to reset the document again.
This process would repeat itself until the document was ready for printing. The development of the SI Template cuts out the proofing process.
Users must and will print the SI in Word, and ensure that the content is correct.
By using the template, the press will be able to electronically convert the document to SGML, XML and HTML for printing and the HMSO Website.
Mouse Training has been responsible for the training and materials for hundreds of solicitors using every release of this software since 2001 under the supervision of the lead trainer Eddie Holder. As a result of this experience and expertise Mouse training also training and prepared documentation for the London Gazette Template Training |

During Phase 1, Mouse were involved with configuring & testing the software. Mouse devised a training plan, including the use of a Business Representative during the training, to tailor each course for the specific needs of each group. The existing User Guide was replaced with a version written by me, concentrating on the needs of each group. Training materials were created for use during the training and afterwards as reference material.
Phase 2 extended the scope of the project to include 7 additional Underwriting teams and the resulting Claims, etc teams. The User Guide was remodeled into a modular help system, training developed for the additional teams and New User training developed for use post project.
Currently we are still running business as usual training for new starters as part of the induction training. We are also periodically releasing upgraded course materials to support upgraded versions of the system. |

| EBRD LiveLink |
August 2003 – June 2004 European Bank for Reconstruction & Development – Livelink
Livelink is a Document Management System and was heavily customised to replace the Bank’s paper based Operational Filing System, also providing integration with the Bank’s remote Resident Offices.
The Mouse Team devised a Training strategy for 950+ staff across 35 countries, the Support Team & supporting material for Users and the Support Team. Training courses were developed for:
- Lead Users
- London HQ Banking staff
- London HQ Non-Banking staff
- European & near-Asian Resident Office Staff
- Overviews for Non-Filing staff
- Training covered the 4 platforms used by Livelink:
Windows Explorer;
Internet Explorer;
Outlook;
Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Mouse helped plan the final Board presentation & Company-wide launch and developed a comprehensive User Guide and New User training courses. The team consisted of 4 trainers and an administration secretary, working closely with the Lead Users and Support Team, who Mouse trained from scratch.
In order to train the Resident Office staff, trainers were sent to large key offices and our team worked with the IT dept to develop distance training (using a remote desktop technology) to train small groups over the phone. This has now been taken up by the Bank and used for all other IT training courses.
We also devised a post Go-Live floor walking plan to support users & Lead users. Our training is still being used and is now being increased for other uses of Livelink across the Bank. |
